The Douglas DC-3: A Classic Aircraft That Changed Aviation

The DC-3, "the greatest airplane of its time," changed the course of air travel and played a significant role in World War II. Over 16,000 DC-3 aircraft were produced, making it the most produced aircraft type in history. One of these planes, nicknamed "Hotel" and based in Finland, is still in operation for charter and museum flights. The author had the chance to fly on the historic plane and experienced the unique sensation of being seated facing the sky.
